Shanghai Metro Line 22 stands as a flagship municipal rail transit project in Shanghai and the city’s first cross-Yangtze River suburban express line. Integrating urban commuting capacity and the image presentation of Chongming World-Class Ecological Island, the trains operate continuously between open river-side sections and enclosed tunnels. Subject to strong maritime climatic impacts, the line imposes highly rigorous criteria on vehicle body materials in terms of weather resistance, anti-corrosion performance, appearance consistency and eco-compliance. Given the project’s harsh operating conditions, Shanghai Metro Line 22 has adopted 3M U180mC + 8528 cast-grade body film solution across its entire route in batches. This solution utilizes premium cast-grade substrate featuring outstanding properties including low shrinkage, salt spray resistance and UV aging resistance. Capable of reliable performance in highly corrosive outdoor surroundings for as long as a decade, it delivers durable, consistent and all-round protection for train car bodies.

在施工效果与外观呈现上，产品搭载3M先进的Comply™隐形导气槽技术及Controltac™易定位技术，曲面包覆适配性强，可贴合列车流线型车体，实现整车平整无痕的高品质覆膜效果。产品色彩还原精准、色泽持久稳定，助力线路形成统一精致的视觉风貌，打造穿梭长江两岸的生态城市移动名片。

In terms of construction outcomes and visual presentation, the product integrates 3M’s cutting-edge Comply™ invisible air egress technology and Controltac™ easy positioning technology. Featuring strong conformability to curved surfaces, it closely adheres to the streamlined vehicle body of the train and delivers seamless, high-quality full-vehicle lamination. Boasting precise color rendition and long-lasting color stability, the product helps build a unified and refined visual identity for the rail line, creating a mobile business card of an eco-city shuttling across the Yangtze River.

在运维效能层面，3M IJ180mC采用轨交专用可移除背胶，后期翻新更换无残胶、不伤车体，有效缩短车辆检修工期、降低维保成本、延长车体使用寿命。配套8528易清洁保护膜可大幅减少清洁频次，节水降耗、运维简便，显著降低线路长期运营压力，实现降本增效。

In terms of operation and maintenance efficiency, 3M IJ180mC features rail-transit-dedicated removable adhesive backing. It leaves no residual adhesive and will not harm the vehicle body during later refurbishment and replacement. This solution effectively shortens vehicle maintenance cycles, cuts maintenance expenses and extends the service life of the vehicle body. The matching 8528 easy-clean protective film can greatly lower cleaning frequency, conserve water and energy, and simplify operation and maintenance. It markedly reduces the long-term operational pressure on the rail line and delivers cost reduction and efficiency gains.
