South Korea becomes Malaysia’s largest LNG export destination

近日，马来西亚统计局发布的能源统计数据显示，2025年第四季度韩国超越日本成为该季度马来西亚最大的液化天然气(LNG)出口目的地(按价值计算)。

According to recent energy statistics released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, South Korea overtook Japan to become Malaysia’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) export destination by value in the fourth quarter of 2025.

当季，马来西亚LNG出口额为135.95亿林吉特，同比下降18.5%，环比增长11.6%。按出口目的地统计，韩国以45.33亿林吉特(占总额的33.3%)位居榜首；其次是日本，为44.36亿林吉特(占比32.6%)；中国为36.91亿林吉特(占比27.1%)。

Malaysia’s LNG exports totaled 13.595 billion ringgit in the quarter, representing an 18.5% year-on-year decline and an 11.6% month-on-month increase. By export destination, South Korea led at 4.533 billion ringgit (33.3% of the total), followed by Japan at 4.436 billion ringgit (32.6%) and China at 3.691 billion ringgit (27.1%).

另一方面，马来西亚当季LNG进口额为16.02亿林吉特，同比下降28.2%。

On the other hand, Malaysia’s LNG imports reached 1.602 billion ringgit in the quarter, marking a 28.2% year-on-year drop.
