At the invitation of the US side, Wang Shouwen, China International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, visited the US from Tuesday to Friday and co-chaired the first deputy minister-level meeting of the China-US commerce and trade working group with US Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Marisa Lago, according to a statement released by China's Ministry of Commerce on Friday.

根据中国商务部周五发布的一份声明，应美方邀请，中国国际贸易代表兼商务部副部长王受文于周二至周五访问美国，并与美国商务部负责国际贸易的副部长玛丽莎·拉戈共同主持了中美商贸工作组第一次副部级会议。

Senior commerce officials from China and the US discussed economic and trade issues of concern to both sides through objective, rational, professional, and pragmatic communications, said the statement.

声明说，中美两国高级商务官员通过客观、理性、专业、务实的沟通，讨论了双方关心的经贸问题。

Wang said the Chinese and US leaders' summit in San Francisco has set the direction for the development of bilateral economic and trade relations. Meanwhile, recent phone calls between the leaders of the two countries instructed the working teams of both sides to advance consultations in the field of commerce and other areas.

王毅说，中美领导人旧金山峰会为两国经贸关系的发展指明了方向。同时，两国领导人近期通电话，指示双方工作团队继续推进经贸等领域磋商。

The economic and trade relationship should be a stabilizing force in the bilateral ties, Wang said. He pointed out that China is willing to work with the US side to actively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen communication, expand cooperation, and manage differences through the China-US commerce and trade working group, and foster a good environment for trade and investment cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

王毅表示，经贸关系应成为双边关系的稳定力量。他指出，中方愿与美方一道，积极落实两国元首达成的共识，通过中美经贸工作组加强沟通、扩大合作、管控分歧，为两国企业界贸易投资合作营造良好环境。

Wang also expressed concerns over the US side's Section 301 tariff measures on certain imports from China and related investigation applications, the issue of generalizing the concept of national security, sanctions on Chinese companies, revisions of trade remedy investigation rules, two-way investment restrictions, and unfair treatment of Chinese companies.

王毅还就美方对从中国进口的部分商品实施301条款关税措施及相关调查申请、泛化国家安全概念问题、制裁中国企业、修订贸易救济调查规则、双向投资限制、对中国企业的不公平待遇等问题表达了关切。

Both sides showed their willingness to keep close communications with the business communities in the two countries to discuss issues of concern to enterprises, jointly support trade and investment promotion activities held by both sides, including the China International Import Expo, the China International Fair for Investment and Trade, the China-California Business Forum, as well as cooperation activities in the fields of clean energy technologies and others.

双方表示愿与两国工商界保持密切沟通，探讨企业关心的问题，共同支持双方举办的贸易投资促进活动，包括中国国际进口博览会、中国国际投资贸易洽谈会、中国-加州商务论坛，以及清洁能源技术等领域的合作活动。

They also vowed to explore ways to enhance trade facilitation cooperation and strengthen communication on issues related to export control.

他们还誓言要探讨如何加强贸易便利化合作，并就出口管制相关问题加强沟通。

During his visit to the US, Wang also held extensive discussions with US government officials, representatives from the US business community and think tanks.

访美期间，王毅还与美国政府官员、美国商界和智库代表进行了广泛讨论。

Lago will lead a delegation to China in the second half of 2024 at the invitation of the Chinese side, and co-chair the second deputy minister-level meeting of the China-US commerce and trade working group.

应中方邀请，拉戈将于 2024 年下半年率团访华，并共同主持中美经贸工作组第二次副部长级会议。
