Railway authorities continue to optimize product supply and strive to enhance the quality of passenger transport services.
今年以来，铁路部门坚持以人民为中心的发展思想，积极顺应人民群众对美好旅行生活的向往，持续优化客运产品供给，全力提升客运服务品质，一系列便民利民惠民服务为旅客安全便捷、温馨舒适的出行创造了良好环境，助力旅客奔向“诗和远方”。
Starting this year, railway authorities have adhered to a people-centered development philosophy, actively responded to the public's aspiration for a better travel experience, continuously optimized passenger transport product supply, and strived to enhance the quality of passenger services. A series of people-benefiting initiatives have created a sound environment for travelers to enjoy safe, convenient, warm and comfortable journeys, helping them embark on their pursuit of "poetry and distant lands".
增开高铁标杆列车。四季度，在京广、京沪、沪昆、京哈高铁等主要通道安排开行停站少、速度快、旅时短的标杆列车266列，压缩城市间旅行时间，让旅客享受“快旅慢游”的便利。
Adding High-Speed Benchmark Trains: In the fourth quarter, 266 benchmark trains with fewer stops, higher speed and shorter travel time have been arranged on major corridors including the Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai, Shanghai-Kunming and Beijing-Harbin high-speed railways. These trains shorten inter-city travel time, enabling passengers to enjoy the convenience of "fast travel and slow sightseeing".
优化动卧列车开行。在北京至成都、北京至贵阳、上海至成都、上海至宜宾、太原至深圳等中长距离城市间增开夕发朝至的动卧列车，高铁动卧列车已连接京津冀、长三角、粤港澳大湾区、成渝等国家级城市群，旅客乘坐动卧列车即可实现“夜行昼游”。
Relevant authorities have optimized the operation of high-speed sleeper trains. Additional overnight high-speed sleeper trains (departing in the evening and arriving in the morning) have been put into service on medium and long-distance routes connecting cities such as Beijing-Chengdu, Beijing-Guiyang, Shanghai-Chengdu, Shanghai-Yibin, and Taiyuan-Shenzhen. These trains now link national-level urban agglomerations including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Region, enabling passengers to realize the "travel by night, sightsee by day" experience.
公交化开行城际列车。在通勤、短途游需求较旺盛的京津冀、长三角、粤港澳大湾区、成渝等地区安排公交化开行城际列车，构建半小时、1小时交通圈，催生同城化效应，京津城际铁路每日最高开行北京往返天津动车组列车232列，最小发车间隔3分钟，长三角铁路在上海、南京、杭州等主要城市间每日最高开行动车组列车1158列，粤港澳大湾区日均开行广州往返深圳动车组列车627列，川渝黔三地日均开行公交化动车组列车713列，湖北日均开行连接武汉、鄂州、黄冈和黄石等城市的“新城快线”42列。
We will roll out bus-like operation of intercity trains. In regions with strong demand for commuting and short-distance travel, such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Region, we will arrange for intercity trains to operate in a bus-like mode. This initiative will help build 30-minute and 1-hour transportation circles and spur intercity integration effects. The Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway will operate a maximum of 232 EMU trains daily between Beijing and Tianjin, with the shortest departure interval of 3 minutes. In the Yangtze River Delta, up to 1,158 EMU trains will run daily between major cities including Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will see an average of 627 daily EMU trains between Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guizhou will operate 713 daily bus-like EMU trains on average, while Hubei will run 42 daily "New City Express" trains connecting Wuhan, Ezhou, Huanggang, Huangshi, and other cities.
优化升级“铁路畅行”常旅客会员服务。年满60周岁的老年常旅客会员购票乘车可获票面金额15倍的积分，14至28周岁的常旅客会员购票乘车可获票面金额10倍的积分，分别为普通常旅客会员的3倍、2倍，积分在可用于兑换火车票的基础上，新增办理座位升席。
We will further optimize and upgrade the "Railway Travel" Loyalty Program. Elderly loyalty members aged 60 and above will earn 15 times the ticket value in points when purchasing tickets and traveling, while those aged 14 to 28 will earn 10 times the ticket value in points—3 times and 2 times that of regular loyalty members respectively. Beyond redeeming points for train tickets, members will now be able to use their points for seat upgrades.
优化学生旅客购票出行措施。铁路12306学生票预约功能常态化运行，每学年4次单程优惠票可随时使用，优惠区间可根据家庭居住地至学校所在地调整设置，其中家庭居住地可根据实际变动情况设置，修改次数不限，动车组列车学生优惠票适用范围扩大至二等座、一等座和卧铺各席别，学生旅客购票出行更加便捷。
Meanwhile, we will further optimize ticketing and travel services for student passengers. The student ticket reservation function on Railway 12306 has been put into regular operation, allowing students to use their 4 one-way discounted tickets per academic year at any time. The discounted ticket interval can be adjusted between the student’s family residence and school location, with no limit on the number of modifications to the family residence to reflect actual changes. Additionally, the scope of student discounted tickets for EMU trains has been expanded to cover second-class seats, first-class seats, and all sleeper berths, making ticketing and travel more convenient for student passengers.
特殊群体旅客动车组列车票价可享受“折上折”。优化学生、儿童、残疾军人、伤残人民警察、残疾消防救援人员等特殊群体旅客购票优惠措施，动车组列车优惠（待）票价计算基础由公布票价改为执行票价，优惠下限为公布票价的四折，上述群体旅客将享受到更多票价优惠。
Special groups of passengers can also enjoy "additional discounts on top of existing ones" for EMU train tickets. We have optimized ticketing discount policies for special groups including students, children, disabled military personnel, disabled people's police officers, and disabled fire and rescue personnel. The calculation basis for discounted (preferential) EMU train fares has been adjusted from the published fare to the executed fare, with the minimum discount limit set at 40% of the published fare. These groups of passengers will thus benefit from more fare concessions.
优化升级铁路12306售票服务。全国铁路旅客运输领域全面使用电子发票，增加线下电子发票申请渠道和购票（代办）人开具服务，旅客购票出行更加方便快捷。积极推广计次票、定期票、旅游计次票等新型票制产品，目前已覆盖73条线路，旅客将享受不同幅度的票价优惠，可随时通过铁路12306客户端（含网站）预约席位，通勤、商务人士出行更加灵活便捷、经济实惠。
We need to further optimize and upgrade the ticketing services on Railway 12306. Electronic invoices will be fully implemented in the national railway passenger transport sector, with additional offline channels for electronic invoice applications and invoice issuance services for ticket purchasers (including authorized agents), making ticketing and travel more convenient for passengers. We will actively promote new ticket products such as multi-ride tickets, period tickets, and tourist multi-ride tickets, which currently cover 73 routes. Passengers will enjoy varying degrees of fare discounts and can reserve seats at any time via the Railway 12306 mobile app (including the official website), rendering travel more flexible, convenient, and cost-effective for commuters and business travelers.
进一步丰富站车服务项目。铁路畅行码覆盖所有动车组列车，互联网订餐站点达94个，旅客扫码即可享用特色美食、办理座位升席；静音车厢服务推广至97趟动车组列车；高铁宠物托运服务试点覆盖40座车站、54趟列车，每名旅客可托运2只符合规定的宠物，更好满足携宠旅客的出行需求；“轻装行”服务试点覆盖19座车站，为旅客提供“门到站”“站到门”同城行李搬运服务，有效减轻旅客出行负担。
We also need to further enrich the service items at stations and on trains. The "Railway Travel Code" has been extended to all EMU trains, with online food ordering available at 94 stations—passengers can scan the code to enjoy featured meals and apply for seat upgrades. Quiet carriage services have been promoted to 97 EMU trains. The pilot program for high-speed rail pet transportation now covers 40 stations and 54 trains, allowing each passenger to ship up to 2 eligible pets, better meeting the travel needs of pet owners. The "Light Travel" pilot service is available at 19 stations, providing passengers with same-city luggage delivery services from "door to station" and "station to door", effectively reducing the travel burden on passengers.
增加团体票电话受理服务。铁路12306客户服务中心新增团体票电话受理服务，铁路12306客户端（含网站）单笔购票数量上限调至19张，单个铁路12306账户可添加的“乘车人”数量由15人调至30人，铁路各客运车站继续现场受理团体旅客购买火车票业务，各类旅游、研学、演出、赛事等团体旅客集中购票出行更加方便。 （来源：中国国家铁路集团有限公司官网）
Adding telephone-based group ticket booking services is also a key measure. The Railway 12306 Customer Service Center has newly launched telephone受理 services for group tickets. The maximum number of tickets per purchase on the Railway 12306 mobile app (including the official website) has been adjusted from 15 to 19, and the maximum number of "passengers" that can be added to a single Railway 12306 account has been increased from 15 to 30. All railway passenger stations will continue to accept on-site group ticket bookings. This will make it more convenient for group passengers, such as those traveling for tourism, study tours, performances, and events, to purchase tickets collectively.(Source: Official Website of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.)
