Zhang Renyin, a reporter from China Civil Aviation News and China Civil Aviation Network, reported: The Dubai Airshow officially kicked off on November 17th. United Aircraft Group, a leading Chinese heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) company, has officially launched UAV food delivery services in the Middle East, which may bring disruptive innovation to the logistics industry in the region.
United Aircraft is working closely with Talabat, a delivery platform in ABU Dhabi, UAE, and K2 AeroSpace, a technology company, to promote the drone food delivery service project. In the future, users in the Middle East will be able to experience China's drone delivery services through the Talabat app. After the user places an order, the drone will take off from the restaurant or Talabat kitchen and transport the meals to a fixed drop-off station within the city. Users can collect meals at the delivery station by scanning the QR code or entering the password.

The Raylight Q20 drone and delivery packaging have been designed for the high-temperature and high-humidity environment of the United Arab Emirates to ensure the stability of meals during transportation. The Q20 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is equipped with an electric propulsion system and can perform autonomous takeoff and landing as well as route planning. In the next stage, Talabat and K2 AeroSpace will cooperate with the Abu Dhabi Mobility Authority (ITC Abu Dhabi Mobility) to complete airspace approval and regulatory coordination to ensure the safe operation of unmanned aircraft in urban airspace. This drone delivery project will further enhance the operational capabilities of United Aircraft drones in short-distance urban logistics, including food transportation and delivery coordination.
Tian Gangyin, the chairman of United Aircraft Group, said that United Aircraft will continue to expand the application scenarios of unmanned aircraft in the Middle East and the entire Gulf region, adjust the unmanned aircraft system and delivery process according to the actual operation situation, and complete the relevant supervision and airspace approval work at the same time. The progress of the project will provide data support and operational experience for the application of China's heavy-duty unmanned aerial vehicles in short-distance urban logistics worldwide, laying the foundation for possible large-scale promotion on a global scale in the future.
