    On November 15th, the openEuler Summit 2025 was successfully held in Beijing. Co-hosted by the OpenAtom openEuler community (referred to as "openEuler" for short) in collaboration with ten industrial partners, the summit focused on technological innovation and ecological co-construction, attracting the participation of community developers, enterprise representatives, and academic experts.

    Peng Honghua, President of Huawei's ICT Strategy and Business Development Department, emphasized in his opening speech that as a representative of core members of the community, Huawei has always followed the concept of "co-construction, co-governance and sharing" in the community, firmly embraced open source, and worked with partners to create a prosperous industrial ecology. Community members are encouraged to work together to build a super-node operating system for the intelligent era, build the integration capabilities of community AI technology and operating systems, and accelerate innovation for Agentic AI agents. Huawei will contribute the super node operating system plug-in UB OS component and key AI technologies such as GMEM, ModelFS, XSched, and sysHAX to enhance openEuler's competitiveness in the AI era.

    For data center scenarios, the open source Euler community provides Intelligence BooM full-stack open source AI solutions. The solution is created by openEuler in conjunction with universities, enterprises and major communities, aiming to establish an open source AI ecosystem, empower industry transformation and promote industrial collaboration, making enterprise-level AI within reach. Following the release of the first version of "2507 Braised Noodles" in July 2025, a new version of "2511 Knocking Fish Noodles" is released this time. This version takes "low cost, high efficiency, and easy implementation" as its core, supports fine-tuning of 50 + models, increases efficiency by 10% to 30% through heterogeneous collaborative reasoning, and has the ability to quickly adapt to the Agentic AI agent ecosystem to create a truly native intelligent operating system.

    While AI is developing at a rapid pace, security challenges cannot be ignored. At the summit, the openEuler community, together with Arm, Linaro, Baidu Intelligent Cloud, Kylin Software, Kylin Securitex, UnionTech Software, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the Global Computing Consortium (GCC), jointly released the world’s first Arm CCA confidential computing solution. Based on the Arm CCA standard, this solution provides full support for confidential virtual machines, making openEuler the first open-source operating system with native CCA confidential VM support. Through a trusted I/O channel, it controls performance overhead within 5%, retaining openEuler’s rich software ecosystem while seamlessly integrating with the confidential computing ecosystem.

    Over the past six years of open-source development, the openEuler community has achieved rapid growth. To date, it has over 2,100 member enterprises, more than 23,000 contributors, and 5.5 million+ community users. It is compatible with over 4,000 Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners, has 25 commercial Operating System Vendors (OSVs), and has received 240,000 Pull Requests (PRs) from global developers. These figures fully demonstrate that openEuler has become a leading force in China’s basic software open-source community.

    Xiong Wei, Chairman of the OpenAtom openEuler Committee, pointed out that the community’s development is inseparable from the support of partners. This year, the community welcomed new donating entities: AMD, Inspur Cloud, and Digital China. With this addition, Intel, Arm, and AMD—the three major chip enterprises—have all become community donating entities. At the level of global open-source organization collaboration, the openEuler community has recently established in-depth technical cooperation with the Zephyr Project (Embedded Technology Foundation) and the LF AI & Data Foundation. To date, the openEuler community has accumulated close cooperative relationships with 15 global open-source organizations across fields including AI, cloud computing, big data, High Performance Computing (HPC), and embedded systems.
