China has decided to extend its unilateral visa-free policy for countries, including France, until December 31, 2026, as the nation continuously facilitates travel between China and foreign countries, according to the report published on the official WeChat account of the Department of Consular Affairs of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.
In addition, China will implement a visa-free policy for Sweden from November 10, to December 31, 2026. Nationals of these countries holding ordinary passports may enter China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits, or transits for up to 30 days without a visa, said the report. Those who do not meet the visa-free conditions must obtain a Chinese visa before entry, it said.
There are 45 countries on the list for which China's unilateral visa-free policy will be extended. In addition to France, the list includes Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Australia, South Korea, Japan and Brazil.
