Conference on the Inheritance and Education of Excellent Chinese Language and Culture Held

近日，中华优秀语言文化传承教育工作会议在河南召开。教育部党组成员、副部长任友群出席会议并讲话，河南省政府副省长、党组成员宋争辉出席会议。

Recently, the Conference on the Inheritance and Education of Excellent Chinese Language and Culture was held in Henan Province. Ren Youqun, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, attended and addressed the conference. Song Zhenghui, Vice Governor and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Henan Provincial Government, also participated in the event.

会议指出，党的十八大以来，语言文字工作全面融入国家教育事业发展和教育强国建设大局，取得显著成效，中华优秀语言文化传承教育的政策不断完善、实践持续深化、效能快速提升，取得系列重要成果。

The conference pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, language and character work has been fully integrated into the overall development of national education and the construction of a strong education country, achieving remarkable results. Policies for the inheritance and education of excellent Chinese language and culture have been continuously improved, practices have been deepened, and effectiveness has been rapidly enhanced, yielding a series of important outcomes.

会议强调，要落实立德树人根本任务，坚持以文化人价值引领，强化语言育人功能，实施国家语言文化传承发展系列工程，形成更多标志性成果，融入各级各类教育，服务构建立德树人新格局；着力建设中华优秀语言文化传承教育体系，着力健全全民语言文化素养提升机制，统筹推进中华优秀语言文化的传承发展、教育普及、推广传播、资源建设等各项工作取得实效，着力推动“十五五”时期语言文字教育高质量发展、国家语言服务体系高水平建设和国家语言能力高起点增强。

The conference emphasized the need to fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, adhere to the value guidance of cultivating people with culture, strengthen the educational function of language, implement the national language and culture inheritance and development project series, produce more landmark achievements, integrate these efforts into education at all levels and types, and support the establishment of a new framework for fostering virtue through education. It also called for efforts to build a system for the inheritance and education of excellent Chinese language and culture, improve mechanisms for enhancing the public’s language and cultural literacy, and ensure effective progress in the inheritance, development, educational popularization, promotion, and resource development of excellent Chinese language and culture. Additionally, it urged advancing high-quality development of language and character education, high-level construction of the national language service system, and high-start enhancement of national language capabilities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

河南省教育厅、湖南省教育厅、邢台市威县教育局和南京大学、中国传媒大学、安阳师范学院等单位，以及青年教师代表作交流发言。国家语委有关委员单位、各省级教育行政部门负责同志，教育部相关司局和直属单位负责同志参会。

The Education Department of Henan Province, the Education Department of Hunan Province, the Education Bureau of Weixian County (Xingtai City), as well as institutions including Nanjing University, Communication University of China, and Anyang Normal University, along with representatives of young teachers, delivered exchange speeches.Also in attendance were responsible comrades from relevant member units of the National Language Working Committee, education administrative departments at the provincial level, and relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the Ministry of Education.
