TIANJIN, March 23 (Xinhua) -- SEA-GULL, a watch manufacturer based in north China's Tianjin, celebrated the 70th anniversary of New China's first domestic watch with various activities on Monday.

天津，3月23日（新华社）-总部位于中国北方天津的手表制造商海鸥周一举办了各种活动来庆祝新中国第一款国产手表70周年。

In 1955, a watch was successfully developed in Tianjin, marking SEA-GULL as the birthplace of the nation's pioneering timepiece. After seven decades of research and development efforts, the company has mastered advanced watchmaking technologies with independent intellectual property rights.

1955年，天津成功研制了一款手表，标志着海鸥成为民族先锋钟表的发源地。经过七十年的研发努力，公司掌握了具有自主知识产权的先进制表技术。
