The Short-Term Energy Outlook forecast released recently by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) indicates that U.S. net ethane exports will increase by 14% in 2025, followed by a further 16% rise in 2026. The report states that U.S. ethane exports will achieve significant growth before 2026, driven primarily by robust global demand for ethane as a petrochemical feedstock, a substantial increase in U.S. export capacity, and the development of larger-scale ethane carriers.
