The fund currently manages more than $20 billion in assets and is selling its remaining Tesla holdings. The move has aroused widespread market concern, further exacerbating the downward pressure on Tesla's stock price.

In its statement, Akademiker Pension explained three main reasons for blacklisting Tesla: Tesla's resistance to unions, significant challenges to board independence and Elon Musk's recent excessive interference in U.S. and European politics. The fund pointed out that Musk has recently publicly supported controversial politicians, spread misinformation and criticized the governments of some countries. These actions have led many investors and customers to abandon Tesla, posing huge return risks to the company.

Meanwhile, a survey of Germans showed that more than 94% of respondents said they would not buy Tesla cars again.
