On November 22, 2024, the China International Travel Mart (hereinafter referred to as the "CITM") kicked off in Shanghai.Air China Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Air China") participated in this prestigious event with the theme "A New Journey, A Fresh Expectation." The company showcased its brand image and operational capabilities, highlighting its comprehensive air travel service offerings and introducing new seasonal routes.
All along,Air China has been a proactive player in supporting the nation’s strategy for opening up to the world, consistently expanding its route network to provide passengers with more efficient air travel options. In 2024, Air China opened new routes including Beijing-Riyadh, Beijing-Madrid-Havana, Beijing-Dhaka, Shanghai-Hanoi, and Urumqi-Moscow, and resumed services on Beijing-Madrid-São Paulo and Shanghai-Barcelona. For the 2024-2025 winter-spring season, Air China is set to operate 445 routes, with over 230 daily flights on international and regional routes and approximately 1,490 daily flights on domestic routes. Among them, there are 148 routes departing from East China, with more than 250 flights in operation daily.
At the Air China booth of this Travel Mart, a comprehensive array of over a dozen products and services were showcased, encompassing every aspect of air travel, from ticket purchase to destination arrival. These included Air China Express, branded fares, and the enhanced user-friendly Air China APP. Vivid graphics and text were utilized to exhibit the 30-year journey and anniversary offerings of the Phoenix Miles frequent flyer program. Dedicated display zones for the C919 aircraft and green flying initiatives were also established, highlighting Air China's commitment as a state-owned enterprise with a strong sense of national responsibility. Furthermore, attractions such as AI interactions, in-flight beverage tastings, and flight simulation experiences drew crowds of visitors to the booth.
