Erywan said that as ASEAN's Special Envoy to Myanmar, he will continue to work in the ASEAN Way and advance the implementation of the ASEAN five-point consensus. ASEAN appreciates and expects China to continue to play an important role in the Myanmar issue.
Wang Yi said that Myanmar is a member of the ASEAN family. China always supports ASEAN in strengthening solidarity, properly handling the Myanmar issue in the ASEAN Way, and playing a constructive role in promoting Myanmar's peace, reconciliation and political transformation process.
