由于严重脊柱畸形，他最大的运动能力是独坐，但一次最多也只能坚持30多分钟。

2004年，刚6个月大的邢益凡被确诊为LAMA2-相关先天性肌营养不良。这是一种罕见因LAMA2基因突变导致的先天性肌营养不良亚型，渐冻症的一种。

第一年他将在北航学院就读，一年之后将选择专业学院就读，并确定具体专业方向。
