Norse Atlantic Unlocks Interlining Options With Dohop Partnership

One of the drawbacks of low-cost carriers used to be the lack of interconnectivity across other airline networks. However, collaborations and partnerships across mission profiles have seen that change significantly over the past few years. Norse Atlantic, the inheritor of Norwegian's Boeing 787s and transatlantic hopeful, has joined the growing Dohop network to offer over 600 weekly connections.

In fact, Norwegian is one of the carriers that Norse Atlantic's passengers will be able to transfer onto on the same ticket. Dohop is an Icelandic tech company based in Reykjavik. Its Dohop Interline product allows airlines to sell tickets for flights operated by multiple carriers without setting up interline or codeshare agreements between them. Sarah Hanan, Commercial Director at Dohop, commented on the company's most recent client acquisition,

Dohop says its platform is PSS (passenger service system) agnostic, meaning that any airline could be connected to the Dohop ecosystem, regardless of whether it is a full service legacy carrier or an LCC starup. If a customer misses a connection due to a delay or cancellation, they are offered an alternative flight covered by Dohop and serviced by the company's customer center team.

In addition to launching its own platform, Norse Atlantic has joined Worldwide by easyJet, an initiative that allows the UK budget airline's customers to connect onwards for long-haul travel to Asia through partner airlines such as Cathay Pacific but also other destinations in North America with WestJet and Virgin Atlantic, and even smaller regional services with Loganair.
