Recently, a centralized signing event for the titanium zirconium and green petrochemical series industrial projects in Maoming was held. As an important measure for Maoming to layout a hundred billion level industrial cluster, this signing activity will be carried out in four rounds, with a total of 17 key projects (11 titanium zirconium industry projects, 3 green petrochemical industry projects, and 3 financial cooperation projects) landing in Maoming High tech Zone, with a total investment of nearly 14.9 billion yuan, pressing the "acceleration key" for the construction of a modern industrial system in the local area.
On the day of the event, multiple green chemical projects for producing high-end fine chemicals were signed. The ethylene cracking C9 optimization project of Guangdong Xinhua Yue will construct a multi unit joint plant and integrate existing facilities to maximize the synergistic effect of the industrial chain. The Yuanshi Incubation Base project will support the development of new quality productivity through the combination of funds and incubation. The polyetherketone ketone (PEKK) and carbon fiber prepreg projects signed by Thyssen New Materials on the same day will build 1000 tons/year PEKK synthesis and 2400 tons/year prepreg production lines, with an expected output value of 2.72 billion yuan, empowering the chemical new materials industry in Maoming. The Maoming Changqing Cogeneration Project (Phase II) has signed an investment agreement to invest 210.76 million yuan in the construction of high-temperature and high-pressure circulating fluidized bed boilers and generator units, with an expected annual output value of 423 million yuan, to enhance energy security for regional industrial development.
Polyether ketone ketone (PEKK) is an aromatic ketone polymer composed of alternating diketone groups and ether bonds, and is a special engineering plastic. As a key focus of the 14th Five Year Plan for the development of chemical new materials, its research and development has been included in the "Three Year Action Plan for Enhancing the Core Competitiveness of Manufacturing Industry" and other technological research directions.
