凤凰山林场依托旅游地缘优势，建成凤凰山民俗村，毗邻抗联英雄纪念碑、东北抗联秘营遗址，成为凤凰山景区冬季旅游的一大亮点，也是停伐后凤凰山林场转型发展的又一个立场项目，弥补了凤凰山旅游夏季火爆、冬季冷清的短板，改变了林场职工半年忙、半年闲的尴尬处境。

2021年，山河屯局对现有4个苗圃基地功能定位进行了重新规划，山上3个苗圃以培育生产苗木、绿化苗木、经济苗木和中药材种苗为主，局址苗圃重点培育种植鲜花及宿根花卉，利用温室大棚种植反季节蔬菜和君子兰、蝴蝶兰等高附加值花卉，为林场生产及美丽家园建设提供苗木花卉和多种栽植技术服务。

山河屯局对累计亏损5500万元的原三木制药厂进行混合所有制改革，2020年6月完成改制后，成立龙江森工药业有限责任公司。今年，森工药业计划销售额5500万元、可实现净利润500万元；利用10万平方米贮木场空闲场地及厂房等，招商引进了米业、木材及家具半成品、铝包木门窗加工等10余家实力较强的企业入驻，安置转岗闲置职工青年近千人。

2021年，引进五常市安鑫机动车检测有限公司和五常市安鑫汽车服务有限公司，山河屯局分别持有2家公司51%股份，通过混改方式盘活资产，实现了国有资产的保值增值。
