The Animal husbandry Industrial Park of Tuoli County, Tacheng, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region covers a total planning area of 6 square kilometers. It is divided into large-scale breeding zone, organic fertilizer processing zone, intensive processing zone of livestock products, forage trading distribution center, fine variety trading center, multifetal sheep breeding base and high-quality forage planting base. Since its construction in 2021, a large number of breeding cooperatives and herdsmen have settled in the park.
According to the introduction, the number of animals in Tori County is maintained around at 650,000 heads. The total amount of forage grass is limited, which has impeded the development of local animal husbandry. Owing to the regional advantage adjacent to Baktu Port, Animal Husbandry Industrial Park will provide continuous high-quality forage grass for the high-quality development of animal husbandry through the development of the foraging trade. Meanwhile, the establishment of the animal husbandry industrial park has simultaneously promoted the optimization of local variety improvement and intensive processing of livestock products.
In 2022, the Animal Husbandry Industrial Park realized 197,000 live animals trading and had slaughtered 70,000 animals. At present, the livestock breeding quantity in the park have reached 100,000 heads. Since last year, the park has invested 280 million yuan in duck breeding. It is estimated that 30 million ducks will be sold this year and 2500 local employees will be employed. Over the past two years, the functions of various districts have been continuously improved and upgraded, driving the high-quality development of animal husbandry in Tori County into a fast lane.
